Dogs that swim

Most dogs swim by default. True. However, most humans probably swim (have been taught to) as well. the main question is, each for how long? Scary thought isn’t it. Both can run as well, but when they get tired running, then can stop, sit down or even lay down for a rest. Swimming is significantly different. If a human, or a dog for that matter, stops swimming to rest, then drowning is quite possible.

What can aid them from drowning? A life jacket.

Now there are life jackets for both humans AND dogs. yes, I said dogs. Dogs really should be wearing a life jacket any time they go in the water, in a boat, or on the docks. If the dog goes missing, there’s a good chance it will still float above water without any grave consequences. Think about putting one on your child. Obviously you would. So why is you’re beloved pet any different?
